Well known Hartford activist Ned Coll has died at age 82.
In the late 1960s and 1970s Coll was a constant presence in local news coverage as he campaigned for a variety of causes related to what today would be called “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
Most notably, Coll led a multi-year effort to improve access to Connecticut’s shoreline beaches with special emphasis on opportunities for children living in the state’s urban areas to enjoy nature.
