The New England News Collaborative(NENC), which is led by Connecticut Public Media, will now serve as NPR’s fifth regional newsroom.
The formal designation means NENC stations will work more closely with the national network to coordinate news coverage in the northeast. NENC joins similar station groups in Texas, California, the Gulf States, and the Midwest.
NENC includes ten public media stations from Connecticut to Maine. Its managing editor is Cori Princell a veteran of New Hampshire Public Radio.
