Ben Dobson an assistant news director at NECN has been named news director for WVIT(NBC CT) in Hartford.
The move is being called an internal promotion by the NBC station group. Dobson will start work May 23rd replacing Matt Piacente who left NBC CT last month for a job in Chicago.
