The Connecticut Mirror has recruited the top editor from Salon.com to take over as the Mirror’s CEO/Publisher.
David Daley, a native of South Windsor, will begin work at the Mirror in July. His background and resume suggest the potential to take the Mirror to a new level in terms of content and audience growth.
And Daley has set a high bar for himself in the news release announcing his appointment:
“This is my home state, and the erosion of journalism here must end. We are going to build the model of the future, and create a new industry standard for distributing the objective, high-quality journalism we need to be informed citizens and voters,” Daley said.
