CT News Junkie reported Friday that Secretary of the State Denise Merrill is proposing legislation to restrict certain information on Connecticut’s voter list, namely the month and day of people’s birthdates.
But former Hartford Courant reporter and current vice president of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information Matt Kauffman said that the legislation limits the media in playing “a watchdog roll in the administration of elections,” according to the article written by Christine Stuart.
