-Waterbury AM radio station will expand to FM in the near future. The station, which airs local content, is locally-owned and for sale. WATR-AM 1320 is expected to double its listening area (and presumably become more attractive to a buyer).
-Waterbury Republican-American sports reporter Ed Daigneault is leaving sports journalism after 30 years, 22 at the Rep-Am. He’s a part owner-brewer at Clocktown Brewing Company and posts that “as much as I would have liked to cover UConn’s return to the Big East for another year, doing both jobs at my age is just untenable.” Cheers, Ed!
