When Tom Dudchik’s CT Capitol Report returns to the airwaves after this weekend’s state political conventions, News8 Chief Political Correspondent Jodi Latina will host the program. Tom told Hearst Connecticut,  “There is no one that I would rather see hosting ‘Capitol Report’ than Jodi Latina. While we mourn the loss of our two boys, I know that ‘Capitol Report’ is in good hands with Jodi.”

The Dudchiks lost their two sons in a car accident last weekend. The driver, Megan Nicole Povilaitis, also died. Tom and Nora’s sons were adopted, and WTNH General Manager Rich Graziano posted on Facebook that the station will be making an all-out effort to promote adoption:

“Every child should have a forever home. Every child should be loved,’’ Tom said recently. “If this tragedy in some small way compels a person to adopt, then their lives wouldn’t be gone for nothing. That’s what I’d like people to know about their lives. They are good boys.”With that, my goal is to increase awareness, education, and information around adoption. I will work with Tom, News 8, and the State of Connecticut to make a difference in the lives of children in need. We will help create new homes and new families and do whatever we can to ensure that all children are loved in this state, all in the name of Robert and Anthony Dudchik.
