A few weeks after Gannett announced 400 layoffs nationwide, the company also says it does not plan to fill 400 open positions. The 400 layoffs represents about 3% of Gannett’s payroll.
The largest newspaper chain in the country owns 200 papers including the Norwich Bulletin in Connecticut.
