There has been no sign yet that an announcement is close on the merger between Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tribune Media.
The Justice Department is reviewing the merger. Last week the department signaled several decisions in the coming weeks, but nothing on the Sinclair deal. Tribune Media owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut. The deal is being watched closely in Connecticut, in part, because Sinclair is known for using its stations to push a conservative political agenda.
