In 1961 Dick Ahles was working for the Hartford Courant and produced a five part series on the abortion debate in Connecticut. The story was killed before it went to press because the managing editor thought it would offend some readers.
Ahles went on to be the news director of WFSB and is still writing for the Lakeville Journal and other papers.
In this column, he revisits the Griswold vs. Connecticut case and his series which was never published.
