Regular listeners to NPR may have noticed a change in the Morning Edition newscasts this morning. NPR has shortened the top of the hour newscasts to make more room for the main show.
H/T – to our old friend Mike Allen(former Hartford reporter for the New York Times) of Politico.
MEDIA WATCH — NPR TIME CHANGES — Per NPR: “What very attentive listeners might notice during MORNING EDITION is: Top of the hour newscast will be a minute and half shorter so Morning Edition will start sooner. No NPR newscast at 30 minutes past the hour. Listeners will hear NPR headlines at approximately 20 and 40 minutes past the hour. And for ALL THINGS CONSIDERED: Breaks provided to stations will be longer so they have opportunities to do 4 minute cutaways.”Graphic of New Morning Edition clock: http://bit.ly/1wMpgak New All Things Considered clock:http://bit.ly/1t1QUhj
