Robert Winnett, the British journalist recently picked to be the top editor of the Washington Post will stay in London and won’t take the Post position.
The decision comes after questions were raised about Winnett’s journalistic ethics.
So far, the man who hired Winnett, Post publisher William Lewis, is still on the job and notified the Post newsroom of Winnett’s decision without backing away from his strong support for his would-be editor.
