Republican Tom Foley says his campaign was “simply unable to reach an agreement” with NBC CT about terms for a debate scheduled for this Thursday night at 7p.m.
The station is going ahead with its plans and for the second time this campaign season Governor Dan Malloy will be on the set alone with petitioning candidate Joe Visconti. NBC CT is now calling the event a “forum” to reflect that one of the major candidates is not participating.
Foley and Malloy will meet in a debate setting once more before Election Day.
