Four U.S. states; Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, are opposing the planned merger between Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tribune Media.
Despite opposition on several fronts, the latest thinking is the FCC will approve the merger and it will go forward. If that happens Sinclair will take ownership of Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
