The News8 Good Morning Connecticut team went all out for the Oscars this year (televised on their network, ABC). Gil Simmons, Anne Craig and Chris Velardi were on air for the late Sunday evening newscast when the Oscars telecast ended – including a live report from Teresa LaBarbera at Oscars Night Hartford. They stayed at the station to be ready when the morning show went on the air Monday at 5am with some special post-Oscars coverage.
