ESPN had previously announced a series of upcoming job cuts for about 200 worldwide positions and is now taking action. These job cuts will affect approximately 100 Connecticut employees. Chief Executive George Bodenheimer blames the economy for these layoffs, but has already begun filling new positions with new employees for updated ESPN projects.
Dear Miss Usher and Standard III,We were very excited to see a cmeomnt from you! We can’t wait to learn more about Belize. There was a student in our class last year who went to Belize for a month for a vacation. She loved it there. We have a lot of things in common with you too. Art is one of our favourite activities. We have art every Friday. We also go to library once a week and have the same subjects as Mr. Salich’s students do.We thought it was a cool fact that you never have snow. We may live in Canada, but we hardly get any snow either. We might get a few centimeters once or twice a winter, but it never stays more than a day or two. We really like the snow.Like Mr. Salsich’s class we also call our classes grades. In our grade 2/3 class we have students who are 6,7,and 8.We love your national animals! Some students had never heard of the tapir, but we had all heard of the toucan. Our national animal in Canada is the beaver.Your school sure is big! You have more people in your school than we have on our whole island. Our population is about 800 and we have 50 students in our school. Our school is called A.J. Elliott Elementary. We can’t wait to see your pictures!Your new friends,Mrs. W and the 2/3sCanada
