A Source tells FTVLive that Nexstar has begun quietly looking into buying some or all of the Meredith stations.
Word is that Nexstar CEO Perry Sook is very interested in both the Atlanta and Phoenix stations, as they are in big markets in which Nexstar does not have a station.
Also, the Meredith stations in Nashville, Hartford, Vegas, and Portland would give them big market duopolies.
Nexstar is close to the ownership cap and they would have to spin off some stations.
