Peter Good, the man who designed the Hartford Whalers logo, has died, according to a post by his family on Facebook.
Good has been in the design business for many years along with his wife Jan Cummings Good.
The Whalers logo, designed in 1979, is still a strong seller twenty-five years after the team moved to North Carolina and it is considered one of the best sports franchise logos of all time. As recently as two months ago the Carolina Hurricanes had a nostalgia night featuring the Whalers’ insignia.
