so is Garrett staying with FOX CT then? or is this FOX’s way to push him out? Move him to weekends until his contract expires.
Will he still have the title of Chief Meteorologist?
Nice girl, cute, but she looks even younger and less experienced than garrett, who looks and sounds about 23. But this is the way Fox61 has been going…younger, female-er, blonder, bustier…I guess that’s what they think we want…look what they did to Goeff Fox at 8.
I always liked Garett and his forecasts a lot. Rachel seems like a nice girl, but I don’t know if she will be able to cut it when there’s a big storm. I was watching their coverage of the snow storm right after Christmas…she said the storm was developing off the Coast of West Virginia.
Wouldn’t you want you main weather person to know their geography? I know I won’t be watching someone that doesn’t know West Virginia is Landlocked.
No Garett, No Geoff, I guess my best choice now is NBC!

Rachel is 27… She’s insanely intelligent and will do an amazing job! She’s an great meteorologist and has the potential for greatness. This won’t be the last time you hear about her.

The street rumor is that Garretts contract was not renewed…im betting the fox 61 will pick up geoff fox and rachel will be a temp fix.
I have seen this young lady forecasting in the CT area for 2 years now. She really seems to have a good instinct combined with solid forecasting skills. Her forecasts are always on point and in my biz we rely on accurate weather reports. We look forward on relying on her forecasts Mon – Fri. now instead of weekends. We only wish it was 7 days a week. Great move by Fox61

Rachel does not have the title of Chief meteorologist . I thought I saw something about Joe Furey having that honor.
Rachel may be young but she didn’t just fall from the sky. She has been doing weather for sometime in another state.
If you have ever read her blogs you would see that she lives, eats and breathes the weather.
Give her time she may end up at the weather channel
I think there should be a contest between stations for the hottest weather person . I believe that rachel frank will win hands down
