Shooting victim Rep. Gabrielle Gifford (D-Arizona), the target of Saturday’s assassination attempt, is a 2003 graduate of The Women’s Campaign School at Yale. She also served on the board.
This statement is on The School’s website:
Gabby Giffords is the model of a successful elected official, candidate and, most importantly, human being. We at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale are blessed to have had her as a board member and as a graduate of the School. If anyone has the resilience and perseverance to get through this horrible tragedy, it is Gabby. She will always remain a member of the WCSY family and from our family to hers; we wish them strength during this very difficult time.
