Carrie Budoff Brown, a former reporter with the Hartford Courant and presently the top editor for Politico, is getting credit for making a blunt point during a forum on sexual harassment in the workplace.

Public relations advice: When representing your company in public it is best not to use foul language. While it may get you noticed and may come off as “cool” to some, in the long run it damages your reputation – just a bit. It makes you just a bit less impressive than you were when you were invited to the podium. Take it from someone who has made the same mistake in his past.
