Barbara Roessner, known to most people in the Connecticut journalism community as Bobbie, is retiring as executive editor of Hearst Connecticut Media Group. She is 65. No successor has been named by the company.
Roessner has had a long career in Connecticut journalism since her graduation from Wesleyan University. The bulk of that time was spent at the Hartford Courant where she eventually rose to the position of managing editor.
