After 10 years as the news and sports director for Waterbury’s WATR, Bob Sagendorf is stepping down from both positions.
According to the Rep-Am, two years after surgery for a tumor pressing on the 12th cranial nerve — the nerve that controls tongue movement and speech — and after numerous procedures to try and revive his vocal chords, Sagendorf said that his voice will never return to broadcast standards.
