A Boston broadcast news legend, Sarah-Ann Shaw, has died at age 90.

She was Boston’s first Black woman to be an on-air news reporter. She started working at WBZ in 1969 and was there for 31 years as a reporter and host of public affairs programming. She was a life-long resident of Roxbury.
