Photo: The Day
Former Day of New London photographer Jack Sauer died on May 24 at the age of 74. He worked at The Day until his retirement in 2002. His final years at The Day were on a part time basis after he survived a plane crash on Fishers Island while covering a story. He was 31 years old at the time of the crash.
