With rumors circulating that a settlement may be near in the case of former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson vs. former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, at least one columnist is urging Carlson to fight on.
Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan argues forcing the case to trial will force a full public examination of issues surrounding workplace sexual harassment – and that is an important goal.
Reports in the last week suggest Carlson, who lives in Greenwich, may be close to a multi-million settlement. Sullivan says while she understands why Carlson would want to move on with her life the story is already fading and Ailes appears to be moving on as an adviser to Donald Trump.
