Stamford High graduate Jake Sherman, one of the co-founders of Punchbowl, is featured in a Washington Post profile describing his play by play coverage of the ups and downs of Capitol Hill.
Sherman began his micro coverage of the Capitol following in the footsteps of Mike Allen(former Connecticut reporter for the NYT) at Politico, succeeding Allen as a co-author of Playbook. Sherman left Politico to found Punchbowl with Anna Palmer, John Bresnahan and Rachel Schindler, all Politico alums.
Allen was thought to be a one of a kind 24 hour a day unstoppable news machine, but it turns out there are at least two of this kind and Sherman is the second.
