Sherman Tarr of South Windsor, whose career included broadcasting(WTIC-AM/FM/TV), public relations, public office, and later a return to print journalism(Hartford Courant), is dead at age 91.
Tarr worked as a reporter for WTIC from 1960 to 1975. He then moved into the field of public relations and held a seat on the South Windsor Town Council for two terms. Eventually he returned to journalism and covered towns in eastern Connecticut for the Hartford Courant.
