Fox News Co-President Bill Shine, a 20 year veteran of the network and right hand to ousted CEO Roger Ailes, has resigned.
Shine appears to be the latest victim of a leadership crisis rocking the network since the filing of a sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes brought by Greenwich resident, and former Fox host, Gretchen Carlson.
Shine will be replaced by Suzanne Scott who has been named president of programming. For weeks, critics have questioned how Shine could stay at the top of the network when he had worked so closely with Ailes – the implication being that Shine must have known about Ailes misconduct.
