After more than a decade as a fill-in and weekend anchor/reporter at WTIC-am 1080 in Hartford, John Silva has been named afternoon anchor/reporter. He succeeds Aaron Kupec who moved on to triple-A (travel & insurance, not baseball). John has worked at WICC-AM/WEBE 108-FM, WELI-AM/KC 101-FM in New Haven as a morning drive anchor and reporter, and then spent ten years working for Westwood One/Metro Networks as an anchor, writer, and news bureau chief.
