According to several reports, Sinclair Broadcast Group has approached Tribune Media about a merger.
Such a deal would combine two of the largest broadcast groups in the country and would need regulatory approval. It is also likely such a combination would require the sale of some stations.
Tribune Media owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
