The news that Sinclair Broadcast Group plans to acquire Tribune Media for $3.9 billion is leading to speculation nationwide.
The deal must be approved by regulators, but in Tribune Media markets people are worried about their jobs, others are concerned that Sinclair will drive news coverage to the right side of the political spectrum.
One winner in the deal maybe former CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson whose Sunday public affairs show Full Measure, produced by Sinclair stands to substantially grow its audience through wide market penetration.
Tribune owns Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
