Connecticut journalist Jacqueline Smith has been named the ombudsman for Stars and Stripes.
Smith has held various newsroom roles in Connecticut including at the Meriden Record-Journal, the Danbury News-Times, and eventually Hearst Connecticut Media.
Stars and Stripes independently covers the U.S. military reaching almost 1.5 million people a day.
