After 43 years, ESPN corporate communications chief Mike Soltys has been cut from the team. He was in the first group of about 100 employees laid off by the company in what is expected to be a Disney wide job cutting effort that may trim 7,000 positions across the entire workforce.
Bristol based ESPN employs 4,000 at its headquarters. Soltys is the second longest serving executive at ESPN. His last day will be in June.
