CBS has announced it plans to spin-off its radio stations to create a new public company to be known as CBS Radio.
The move comes a few months after the company announced it was searching for options for its 117 radio stations. The move comes as radio revenues are declining.
CBS owns four stations in Connecticut including WTIC-AM/FM.
Many stories on this subject note that CBS began as a radio company.
