Former CTNewsJunkie reporter, part owner, editor, and franchise player Christine Stuart is joining the state Department of Social Services as deputy director of communications.
The announcement comes less than a week after she let it be known she is leaving the news business after almost 25 years. Like many former reporters who move from reporting the news to dispensing it from a government office, she may soon realize she has moved from the journalism equivalent of retailing to the journalism equivalent of wholesaling. She will now be the first reporter on the scene when it comes to the DSS beat.
