In a Facebook post dated January 26, former Bristol Press reporter Steve Majerus-Collins has an account of the resignation of Michael Schroeder as an adjunct professor at Central Connecticut State University.
Schroeder, the owner the Bristol paper, the New Britain Herald and now the Block Island Times, was the subject of national controversy last month because of his ties to casino owner Sheldon Adelson and Adelson’s purchase of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
According to Majerus-Collins and a related article in the Central Recorder, Schroeder handed in his resignation as a journalism adjunct after a long, closed door meeting with journalism students shortly after the Las Vegas story broke.
