Professor Seth Freeman, President of the Congress of CT Community Colleges, speaks on the approved hike in tuition for state colleges and universities. Professor Freeman teaches at Capital Community College and gives his take on what this raise in cost will mean for students and their respective institutions.

Commissioner Beth Bye from the Department of Early Childhood discusses the new approach to expand on child care spots for kids, as well as recruit more professionals to care for them. There are currently four thousand job openings in Connecticut’s child care industry, as the state is known for being one of the most expensive places for child care.

Reporter Siobhan McGirl gets the details on a new apartment complex headed to the North End of Hartford, and how this development will lead to the rebirth of the community.
