Our research indicates readers of The Laurel are interested in journalism…writ large.
That being the case, if you haven’t already, you might want to make an effort to see the latest edition of The Atlantic. The current issue (in print and online) features a 30,000 word story by Caitlin Dickerson on the child separation policy at the U.S. border instituted under the Trump administration.
It is revealing, fully researched, and may be the longest article The Atlantic has published in its history. The audio version runs over three hours long. The entire effort, from reporting to the decision to publish in this form, is worth studying.
