The FCC is asking for more information from the Sinclair Broadcast Group before it considers further Sinclair’s plans to acquire Tribune Media, owner of Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
The proposed merger has been drawing strong criticism from all sides since it was announced early in the summer. If the deal goes through it could put the Hartford market at the center of a national controversy over Sinclair news programming.
