We’re told that The Record-Journal, which owns the weekly North Haven Citizen, shut the paper’s office on November 30. According to our friend,The Citizen’s Associate Editor was laid off and a remaining full-time reporter and part-time news clerk were brought in-house to the Record-Journal’s newsroom in Meriden. The Citizen will keep publishing but won’t have a presence in North Haven. The page lay-out will be done by the R-J’s advertising graphics department.
