The Day of New London is expected to move its headquarters to a new downtown location by mid-year. This following final closing on the sale of the paper’s historic office building at 47 Eugene O’Neill Drive.
The paper says the closing was finalized last Thursday. The building has been purchased by High Tide Capital of Bangor, Maine. The developers have unveiled plans to redevelop the property into hotel, residential and retail space.
The sale of The Day’s longtime headquarters allowed the company to pay off its debt and have the cash necessary to build out new space and invest further in the business.
