A new film coming out at the end of this month is based on a book written by a former WTNH news producer.
The Finest Hours is based on a book written by Casey Sherman, who also worked as a producer for WBZ in Boston, before his writing career took off. The book and the movie tell the story of a 1952 Coast Guard rescue off Cape Cod. We’ve seen the trailer and it looks pretty good – in a Perfect Storm meets Apollo 13 way.
The movie opens January 29 and stars Chris Pine, Casey Affleck and Kate Crowley as “Local Town Folk #1.”
