Former WFSB anchor and reporter Brendan Keefe is firing back at his critics who have accused him of “hoarding” local Emmy awards. He has a total of 55 and apparently once a year he poses with his latest batch as part of his heavy and very effective self promotion efforts. Keefe has plenty to brag about. His reel shows a career filled with hard news and investigative coverage, plus a side career as a journalist who trains others in multi-media story-telling.
Keefe says, Emmys are “a tangible acknowledgement” of the personal sacrifices made to cover the news.
We see both sides of the issue. Remember; it is possible for two seemingly conflicting ideas to be true at the same time.
Keefe is originally from North Haven and his older sister is making news too.
Kathleen Keefe, once a general manager at WFSB, is retiring from her position as vice president of sales for Hearst Television. She’s been with the company for 13 years. Before Hearst, she was with Post-Newsweek for 14 years.
