Roger Catlin of the Hartford Courant profiles former WFSB anchor Gayle King, back on television for the first time in 13 years:
It was 1998, and Gayle King’s nationally syndicated daytime talk show out of Hartford had been canceled after one season.
King, who was continuing her long-term job as anchor of the 5:30 p.m. newscast at WFSB, was told not to worry, that better things were coming for her.
“When and what time is that?” she muttered.
