A news themed restaurant to be known as The Press is scheduled to open later this year in downtown Hartford near the train station.
According to the Hartford Courant, the menu will include items made with presses of various kinds:
“The Press plans a news theme, with décor based on newspaper articles and things of that nature,…and food and beverage items playing off the press name — using panini presses, waffle irons and French presses. The menu will feature shareable small plates, and its fairly unique craft cocktail list will have a Prohibition-era influence.”
When it opens, we will check it out and report back on our findings, because according to Pat Robb of the Associated Press, “the definition of news is: Anything people need to know, or may want to know” – and this would seem to fall into both categories.
