Luke Bronin, the incoming mayor of Hartford announced a series of appointments to his new administration Monday.
Samaia Hernandez will be Bronin’s press secretary. Most recently Hernandez worked as Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty’s communications director and she also spent time as Governor Malloy’s spokesperson.
Prior to her work in government, Hernandez worked in journalism at WNPR, the Hartford Courant and the Meriden Record-Journal.
Thea Montanez, another familiar name in Hartford news media circles has been named as Bronin’s chief of staff.
