According to the Washington Post, the local television news I-Team is back!
Quoting several industry experts, the paper says local television news investigative reports are back in style mainly because local stations need a way to stand out from the competition.
The story does question whether some of the reporting labeled as “investigative journalism” really is, but overall sees the move toward this style of “packaging” as a potentially positive trend.
