More news from the Nieman(journalism) Lab about non-commercial media in Connecticut.
A Lab article reveals the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network(Media) is at the beginning of a multi-year effort to remake itself for the new “on-demand media age”(we just coined that last phrase right here in the coffee shop while writing it).
CPBN(Media) worked with the design firm IDEO to come up with some new ideas to work on. Some of the plans seem sensible, others seem like someone came up with a list of ten things to do, but could only get to eight.
To paraphrase an NPR guest heard by this reporter on Friday morning: “So…it’s about time someone had a conversation around this set of issues in the public media space.”
