Perhaps we’re so surprised, as a state, that Joe Ganim was able to win re-election as mayor of Bridgeport, that we’ve overlooked the national implications of the story.
But between now and his first day in office, it is quite likely Ganim will gain loads of national media coverage, because of the novelty of his story. A former mayor, convicted for his crimes in office, makes a comeback.
